Bona Coffee Holdings Corp. (PINKSHEETS: BCHC) announces that Bona Coffee Company has now begun construction of its third branch, located in SM Mall of Asia. Expansion is in the air for Bona Coffee Company. The new branch is currently being built in the Mall of Asia, which is the largest mall in the Philippines, all of Asia and the third largest in the world (386,224 square meters — 4.15 million square feet, or 95.4 acres). Bona’s new coffee shop will be located in the bayside promenade area overlooking the famous Manila Bay.
Bona Coffee Company will be the only 24-hour coffee shop on the beautiful boardwalk. The third branch (96 square meters, over 1,000 square feet) will have an al fresco area facing the bay and sure to attract many potential customers as the mall attracts daily foot traffic of 200,000 people.
Besides the sheer numbers from the Mall’s foot traffic, Bona Coffee Company can rely on employees and visitors from One E-Com Center. SM Prime’s 10-story 105,857 square meter (1,139,000 square feet) building is populated by many call center companies, IT-based locator companies and support offices for business process outsourcing. Bona, being open 24/7, will be a big advantage to draw in the night shift workers.
The target date of the completion of construction is February 1, 2009. BCHC expects robust sales figures from this new branch.
